Eugene's favourite advertisment
This is an advertisement by Acuvue, one of the companies set up by Johnson and Johnson. Acuvue deals with vision care and manufacture products such as contact lenses to help enhance their customer’s live. The poster that I have chosen is one of the promotions Acuvue have come up with to promote their range of contact lenses.
Product
Firstly I will talk about the product that is being advertised. In this advertisement there are two products that are being advertised. One of them is the 1-day Acuvue Moist and the other is the Acuvue Oasys with hydraclear plus, both which are contact lenses produced by Acuvue.
Price
Next I will talk about the price shown on the advertisement. For the 1-day Acuvue contact lenses, it is priced at $280 for 6 boxes, which means $30 for each box. The advertisement also placed the usual price which is $336($56 per box) on the advertisement. By doing this, customers will be able to compare and calculate how much they can save on if they purchase 6 boxes at a go.
Promotion
The promotion for the 1 day Acuvue is $280 for 6 boxes. The reason why they do not put it at $30 a box might be due to trying to clear stock. Thus people who want to enjoy the discounted rate would have to get 6 boxes instead of 1 box. For the Avcvue Oasys, they are giving out free gifts such as a gift pack, case and lens replacement timer. The reason for doing this is to attract consumers to get the Acuvue Oasys.
Place
However, they did not specify the location for the distribution for product but only specify the time of the promotion. Thus the promotion might be at any retail shop selling Acuvue products.
